Don’t evil things always look pretty? McDisney rent-boys Elliot Minor do a hammy sort of neo-classicalist soft-rock, like Versailles meets Def Leopard. Encompassing cheery Greenday bastardisation (chugging palm mutes and close harmonies at every given opportunity), Muse-lite grandiosity and demographic-friendly Americanisms, they are in other words; a veritable force to be reckoned with in the business of selling singles. Music as good financial planning. The spectre of beardy song-writer man looms large but AU have been assured the boys wrote every track, making them precociously talented little moppets. Depressingly, they are probably going to be massive across the pond too. Come back Rooster, all is forgiven.

Download: Parallel World, Lucky Star, Time After Time

For Those Who Like: My Chemical Romance, Queen, Fall Out Boy, Muse
