Count to Ten
Finest Gramophone

Sometime vocalist to snooze-monkeys Zero 7. Dane Tina Dico takes nothing of the icy cool of her lounge-chilling friends for this her third solo outing. Instead, she’s dusted down the Tina Arena back catalogue for a nineties feel with more than a hint of the folk/country banality of The Corrs. Crowning only a handful of times out of a mostly unremarkable set of songs contemplating ‘woman’s matters’, there are moments to recommend with several sadly romantic ballads marred only slightly by persistently lacklustre lyrics. A guitar is frequently the sole complement to an unexpectedly forceful voice.
