Beehoover - Heavy Zooo 112

Heavy Zoo
Exile on Mainstream Records

Progressive doom-metal alchemists Beehoover are building from scratch a singular, absurdist din, rife with innovation and a stern Germanic distaste for convention. With only a demonically gnarled bass and a leviathan drum kit to swing, imagine a hybrid of Black Sabbath, a down-tuned Future of the Left and The Rapture, but not just as good as that sounds. Despite the lengthy bouts of ticking bomb serenity and loose psychedelic clowning or the scatter-shot structure and lurching time signatures, when the avant-gardism does give way to the wig-loosening blasts then and only do you awaken, clench-fisted in a teeth-grinding state of Hard Rock ecstasy. Because Beehover are truly momentous when they forget about pushing the envelope, keep it simple and choose door No.1.

For Those Who Like: Black Sabbath, System Of A Down, Rammstein

Download: My Funeral Procession, Stanislav Petrov, Dance Like A Volcano.
